Is 2015 going to be the year that Japan so badly needs?

A year when a newly re-elected Prime Minister and his political colleagues show true vision and leadership; a year of innovation and profit for business; a year when wages increase and employment conditions improve; a year when stocks rise and the yen behaves? Or will it be a year of turbulence, argument and disappointment (again?).

With so much going on in Japan and  globally, is it even possible to identify the potential themes of the year ahead? Well, it is certainly worth a shot, and that's what today's event is all about.

Leading our discussion will be keen Japan observer William Sposato, who promises to give some context to the exciting year ahead.

Speaker: William Sposato has extensive experience of covering Japan for media outlets and knows the country inside out. He is former Japan Editor and South Asia Editor for Thomson Reuters and former Deputy Bureau Chief for the Wall Street Journal in Japan. He was also a Partner at Kreab Gavin Anderson, and currently writes on macroeconomic issues and monetary policy.
