The Climate Crisis and Business: 24 Hours of Action
“If you want to protect your business in the long term, you have to take action on the climate.” So said Jeremy Darroch, CEO of Sky at the One Young World 2019 summit in London on October 24. But how does the climate crisis actually connect to and impact your business, industry - in Japan?
Join us for an interactive session at the BCCJ Hub on the evening of 21st November as part of former US vice-president Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project “24 Hours of Action” global event to explore this topic and discuss the actions we can take, collectively.
We will hear from social entrepreneur & ethicist Lowell Sheppard about his mission to navigate solo from Tokyo to Vancouver through the Pacific garbage patch to raise awareness of the impact of humans on our planet. We'll also learn from Climate Reality Leader & sustainability leadership consultant Tove Kinooka on how the climate crisis links to business risks and opportunities.
At this evening event, you will have the opportunity to discuss with other attendees how climate change impacts your company and industry, and share examples and ideas of what can be done to future-proof your business.
