This is breakfast event is organised in association with the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan's (ACCJ) Alternative Investment Committee.

Ted Roosevelt IV, Managing Director, Investment Banking at Barclays in New York City, and great grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt, has a long history of engagement in sustainability and environmentalism. Join us for a BCCJ breakfast session on February 14, to hear directly from Ted how Barclays has been shaping the world of sustainable finance, through the green bond market, using securities to fund climate-friendly investments. During a fireside chat, Ted will discuss among other things how the firm's Green Bond Framework is enabling increased engagement with global investors, and developing shared approaches to ESG.



About the Speaker

Theodore Roosevelt IV, Managing Director in Investment Banking at Barclays

Based in New York, Ted is a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Barclays. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the firm’s Clean Tech Initiative and is a Co-Chair of Barclays Military Services Network.

He has a long history of advocacy for environmental and clean technology initiatives. Theodore is Board Chair of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), serves on the board of The Climate Reality Project, is a member of the Governing Council of the Wilderness Society, and a Trustee for the American Museum of Natural History. He is also currently a committee member for the National Academy of Sciences on Accelerating Deployment of Clean Energy Technologies, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, The Economic Club of New York, and a Governor of the Foreign Policy Association. He is Chairman Emeritus of the National League of Conservation Voters and served as Trustee for Trout Unlimited and World Resource Institute. Previously, he served as an Advisory Committee Member on the MIT study “The Future of Natural Gas,” and on the Advisory Committee for the Council on Foreign Relations Special Report, “The Future of US Special Operations.
