Welcome: STH Japan KK

April 10, 2018

The BCCJ is Delighted to welcome STH Japan on becoming an Entrepreneur Member!

STH Japan was established in February 2017 and is a pioneering partnership between the UK based Sports Travel & Hospitality Group (a joint venture between Sodexo and the Mike Burton Group) and JTB Corporation. STH Japan has been formed to create enhanced VIP hospitality experiences, introducing a new concept to local corporations and sporting enthusiasts searching for something unique and memorable.

The partnership draws on STH Group’s notable success of winning global rights for the Official Hospitality and Travel programmes at previous Rugby World Cup’s including 2007, 2011 and 2015. In addition, STH Group’s reputation for award-winning hospitality played an instrumental part in securing the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games official in venue hospitality rights.

Further notable successful programmes include the 2016 World Championship Track Cycling in London, an Official Sales Agent for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, the 2017 IAAF World Championships, and the Official Travel and Tour provider for both the ICC Champions Trophy and the British Olympic Association.

JTB Corporation is the leading travel and tourism provider in Japan. Founded over 100 years ago, JTB has extensive influence and knowledge in the Japanese market and ranks sports hospitality as one of its key revenue growth providers over the next five years.

While sports hospitality is now an accepted part of attending sports events in Western countries, it is still a relatively unfamiliar concept in Japan. Sports hospitality provides corporations and companies with additional networking opportunities in a relaxed and friendly environment designed to improve business relations. STH Japan works in conjunction with sports rights holders to provide a premium experience that puts the event at the heart of the customer journey.
